Live cultures (see below if sending frozen vials)

Passage adherent cell cultures into two T25 (or similarly sized) flasks and deliver when growth has reached 50-75% confluence. Cells must be rapidly dividing at the time of delivery. Suspension cultures which arrive healthy, with actively dividing cells are also acceptable. Please contact us prior to submitting suspension cultures.
Include an aliquot of your growth media (enough to feed cultures once). Please place specimens and media in individually sealed specimen bags.
Confirm that all samples are clearly labeled and accompanied by completed test request forms.

Shipping live cultures (hand deliveries are also accepted with advance notice)

Top off flasks with warmed media and seal lids with parafilm
Individually seal each sample in a small plastic bag
Place flasks and media in a styrofoam/polystyrene box filled with packing material/bubble wrap
Place styrofoam box inside a larger cardboard box with additional packing material and seal shut
Include completed request form with shipment
Ship overnight at room temperature (do not include dry ice, or cold packs)

Shipping cryogenically frozen vials

Provide one cryogenically frozen vial per sample requiring analysis. Include adequate dry ice inside appropriately labeled and insulated box to ensure that vials stay frozen for duration of shipping time.
Confirm that all samples are clearly labeled and accompanied by completed test request forms.
